“As an entrepreneur, I've learned to surround myself with people who have skills that I lack. FB ads and email funnels were something I knew I wanted to be doing in my business but I had no idea where to start. I put it off for a while because it was outside my comfort zone, and it wasn’t until I found Hailey that I felt confident moving forward with them. Hailey took the reigns and created a system for me that was not only profitable, but really helped me create more space in my day to work on the things that are in my zone of genius!”

If you're stuck at $10K months (or even less) and can't figure out how to scale without burning out, this video is about to change everything. I'm going to share the 5 daily routines that help take my clients from $10K to $50K months while working on average just 20 hours per week.

Want to listen on the go?
Do you want to know the routines that have allowed me and my clients to scale from $10K per month to $50K per month in sales?
Welcome back to the channel, if you’re new here, I’m Hailey Dale a content and marketing strategist for coaches, course creators and service providers.
I love this quote from James Clear, “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems” I think that routines or systems are often even more important than the goals we set. Anyone can set a goal. If setting them meant reaching them, then everyone would achieve them (and we all know that is definitely not the case).
In this video, we’re going into the routines that make $50K per month possible – and not just possible – but these are systems my clients use to reach $50K while working around 20 hours per week. So it’s all about maximum leverage in the most efficient way possible.
Now if you haven’t watched part 1 and part 2, I encourage you to do so because all of this starts with having the right strategy in place. Only then can these routines really make the difference we want them to. So having the right infrastructure in place refers to a signature offer, funnel and launches.
But once you have that – it’s time to bring on the routines. Let’s go through the 5 mainstays plus I’ll give a real look at my weekly work schedule (and answer how I get everything done in 20 hours).
Routine #1 – 90 Day Traffic and Engagement Strategy
Routine #1 is creating (and committing to) a 90-day traffic and engagement strategy.
Something I’ve been teaching for a long time is something called the EASE strategy. It basically stands for engagement, attraction, sales and expertise. And it means that instead of focusing on a ton of different strategies and platforms all at once, you can narrow your focus to just 4 at any given time. This makes sure that you’re tending to all 4 of the things necessary to grow your audience, engage them and make sales. So for this routine, we’re focused on the attraction (aka you traffic strategy) and engagement strategy.
Your attraction platform might be: paid ads, guesting on podcasts, Pinterest, etc.
Your engagement platform might be: Instagram, a Facebook group, your newsletter, live events.
Your 90-day strategy should include – the platform, how you plan on using it, key performance indicators and targets. And then at the end of the 90-day phase (the minimum time required to know whether a platform is actually going to work or not for you) – you’ll make a decision on whether to continue on with that particular platform, quit it or automate/streamline/delegate it while you switch your focus to something else.
The coming up and running of this strategy is something I consider an integral part of the $50K monthly business because it makes sure that you’re both growing your nurture and connecting with them enough so that your signature launch and funnel actually work.
The creation of this plan is part of month 4 of Signature $50K months where we’re focused on your signature content systems.
Routine #2 – Regular Long-Form Content Bundle
The second routine that’s essential for my client’s $50K months is a weekly (or biweekly) content bundle.
This bundle is built around a long-form piece of content whether that’s a blog post, video or podcast episode. This important piece of content helps deepen your audiences’ relationship with you, showcases your expertise and gives people a reason to come back to your website.
It’s a bundle because it doesn’t just include that long-form content but also the newsletter that drives traffic to it, any images including pins if Pinterest is a part of your strategy and any social media posts that directly tie back to that long-form content.
For you this routine might look like batching all of your content for the month at one time. For someone else, it might look like a weekly process they follow every week to get their content bundle published.
While the strategy is universal, the approach and exact routine can be tailored to what works for you. I think one of the best ways to stay consistent with your content is to keep your audience at the centre of WHAT you talk about and you at the centre of HOW you create it. If you don’t enjoy it, there's not a chance that you’ll keep up with it.
It is important to note here that this does not have to be new content either. You could be repurposing existing content assets you’ve created. That’s one of the biggest reasons, I encourage any business owner to truly treat their content as a long-term asset that holds value long after you’ve shared it one time.
Routine #3 – Daily Content Systems
Speaking of content, one of the side effects of scaling or attempting to scale is disconnect. When things get bigger, it’s harder to connect with audiences the way we once did. That’s where routine #3 comes in which is your daily content systems.
For a while I was stuck in a trap of just doing my weekly content, batching all of my social, having someone else schedule it and it just felt like I was getting more and more out of touch with the people I most want to help. It is essential, especially as you scale, to prioritize conversations and connections with your audience as well as with your content.
So as tempting as it is to outsource it all, I think this is one area that you should hang on to. Here’s what the basic routine looks like – every day, or most work days, and ideally before you dive into any other work, spend an hour on content and connection. I break mine down personally into 3 parts – 20 minutes spent on my daily writing, 20 minutes spent on my daily publishing habit (whether that’s a reel, sending an email or sharing stories) and 20 minutes spent on engagement. You can also break it down into 25-25-10 minute sections if it works better for you (that’s actually what I used to do but I wanted more time for engagement and my systems help me write and publish now much quicker)
This routine helps me feel super productive (I create something before getting bogged down on tasks or worse, before consuming someone else’ content), helps me stay excited about my content (I’m only writing about the things I’m thinking or curious about) and makes sure I’m having daily convos with my audience and network. I break the daily engagement time into 4 tasks:
I respond to anyone who’s commented or DM’d me
I send a message to anyone who’s purchased a digital product from me, checking in, seeing how things are going and answering any questions. I’ve added a question for their IG handle on my checkout page for this purpose.
I send a message to any new followers.
Then I tend to my network, aiming to check in with and support at least 3 people per day.
It sounds like a lot, but I have bookmarks to open all links up within 1 click and quickly run through them. The amount of opportunities, sales and great convos I’ve had from this routine has some of the best ROI I’ve ever seen.
Routine #4 – Measurement Systems and Review
The most important thing you can do as you scale is to keep a really close eye on your numbers – and specifically be prepared to do something about those numbers. We’re not just talking about passively collecting them in order to check a task off your CEO to -do list.
Scaling means finding more leverage which means more levers. If you don’t know what your numbers are – you could waste a lot of time focusing on the wrong things and reversely ignore things that desperately need your attention. The ultimate secret to scaling is making sure you’re focused on fixing the right things.
In order to make it something that you stick with consistently, turning your measurements into a routine is a must. For me, I collect my measurements on Fridays, and once a month that Friday includes monthly metrics as well as the regular weekly ones. I take it one step further through, I use these metrics and a Japanese concept called Kaizen to make small improvements to each area of my business. Kaizen stands for continuous improvement. When I first heard of it, I heard about how Toyota put it into practice for all of their employees. It was a part of everyone’s job to identify and implement small incremental improvements in the workplace. This is part of their TPS (Toyota Production System) that helped transform Toyota from a struggling post-war automaker into one of the world's most efficient and respected manufacturers. We should do the same with our business – not just as a practice of fixing all the things but also to encourage us to translate our numbers into tangible actions too.
I like that it’s small because the last thing you want to do is try to fix too many things in your business at once. Not only is there a great chance of breaking something that was working, if something does work, it’ll be hard to isolate and identify what it was if you were tinkering with too many tactics.
Here’s a look at my template. I have a similar one for my funnel optimization process as well.
Routine #5 – Business Journaling
The final routine that every single one of my clients in Signature $50K months adopts is a business journaling practice. This is where they can track wins, any daily metrics and habits (after all, as Peter Drucker says, “what gets measured, get managed”) as well carve out some daily thinking time to think either big picture about the business or map out a new project or priority so that when it’s time to delegate or work on it, their thoughts are already organized.
To really paint the picture, here are the things that I journaled on this week during the CEO time:
A new backpocket service I’ll be rolling out to existing clients (I got really clear on exactly what’s included, how it’ll be delivered, who qualifies, pricing and messaging)
My offer delivery systems and automations (what changes need to be made, how I can automate things, where we need new templates and small tweaks I can make that’ll have a big return)
Quarter 3 vision and things I want to work on in the next 3 month block.
I usually pick 3-5 things every week to journal about during that CEO journaling timeblock so these are just a snapshot but give a good idea of the types of things I’m working on before I have to work on them.
My Exact Weekly Schedule
So how do these things all come together? Building out the weekly calendar is definitely more an art than a science and it’s something we tackle in the final month of Signature $50K Months, but to give you an idea, here’s what the calendar looks like for my 20ish hours a week.
On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: I have my daily content hour from 6am to 7am.
Then on those same days, I have 4 x 45 minute work blocks where I focus on a single priority per block.
2 of these blocks are for a big project, 1 is for client work/email responses and 1 is for content.
On Monday – the content block is spent on finishing up my video editing brief.
On Tuesday – I write my weekly content bundle and plan stories for the next week. Plus I review and finalize the bundle designs I’ve gotten back from the designer.
On Wednesday – I finish up my script and film plan.
On Friday – I double check the scheduling and plan the coming week’s daily content topics.
On Thursday – I spend 3-4 hours in coaching calls or group coaching and 1 hour is spent recording my weekly content.
So all in all between 20-21 hours per week.
